A vast, cold, wasteland of massive rock formations and chasms. During the day the brave desperate men and women who work here come to mine and process the rocks from the quarry. With an almost slave-like rule, security and management force round the clock working with 18 hour shifts, no unionizing, no breaks all for minimal pay. Any form of protest means automatic dismissal. any hints of a more serious protest lead to an assisted free-fall into the face of the chasm, in other words, the death penalty. But with work so scarce, what else can on do but keep quiet and fall in line. Buildings inhabit the lot where the rock is processed into different tools and useful forms. A small secret building is kept in back where management and security take their lunches and meetings precisely at noon each day for 2 hours. |
